Comfort at My Table

A revisit to Comfort at my Table and Miss Food Hunter never fails to order a pot of their Soy Chai Tea. Its a must for Chai tea lovers and best shared between 2. This time around i had the pleasure of sharing the pot with my Mum who has now found a new love for spiced tea.

We arrived near noon and while we waited for our meals to arrive, this pretty little cafe soon filled very quickly with the Milton office crowd. Dad was looking for something simple and the Blackboard specials of a Potato & Leek Soup served with buttered Sourdough took to his fancy.

Boring Miss food hunter stuck to her favourite again of the Comfort Salad with an extra Grilled Thyme & Orange Chicken. The salad on its own was delicious with a good contrast of flavours & textures from the rocket leaves, pear, toasted almonds, fetta & avocado. The chicken was prominent with orange and thin fillet as it was, it was surprisingly moist! The buttered Levain sourdough...YUM!

Mum was delighted with her order from the Specials board. This is a wonderful option for the vegetarians; light & fluffy slabs of Grilled corn Polenta, sweet ripened Heirloom tomatoes served with poached eggs, haloumi and pesto atop a rocket bed. The pesto in particular my mum loved!

Comfort at my Table does some mean ole' filling & satisfying breakfast options, both sweet & savoury! Oh...just thinking about it (salivate), we hope to return soon on a saturday!
