Their fridge products ranged from IAP's take-home sauces & stews, gourmet yoghurt, Delizia gelato to Maggie Beer's 1x-serve ice-creams. Maggie Beer's tempting ice-cream flavours include; quince & bitter almond, vanilla bean & elderflower, brunt fig, caramel & honeycomb flavoured ice-creams and dark chocolate & orange.
There is also a small whiteboard lunch menu of a Southern Fried Chicken BAP with Coleslaw or Lamb Triangles served with Tzatziki, but we went straight for the cabinet offerings. Mr food hunter had the Vegetable Frittata on a Polenta base ($10) with a side of Sweet potato & Haloumi salad ($5.50).
The Vegetable Frittata was a HUGE slab! Thankfully, it was light in texture, topped with a fetta crumble and there were mushrooms in the midst too! The polenta base was simple and as it was baked, it formed a somewhat short-crusted base. The haloumi in the sweet potato salad had a taste similar to that of dark soy and it was rather strong.
Miss food hunter had a Segafredo cappuccino and a mixed salad ($11 small) of 2 choices, one a Pumpkin with Wild Rice and the other Tortellini with Marinated Vegetables. The wild rice was cooked al dente which provided a nuttyness and texture that was great with the sweetness of the soft pumpkin. The tortellini was filled with a cheese- ricotta most likely. The marinated mushrooms and sweet semi-dried tomatoes worked well with the pesto dressing. Both salads were Yum & very Filling!
A small serve turned out to be way generous ;) |
IAP is located in a quiet strip amongst residential housing. Mia's gift & coffee shop as well as Mons Ban Sabai are just a close walk away. IAP's breakfast menu which hangs on their door entrance, looked equally tempting and we will be back for that and some of Maggie Beer's ice-cream!In a Pickle
