Morrison Hotel

The quest to sample some of Brisbanes' greatest steak houses continues with a trip to the Morrison Hotel.   The Morrison Hotel is quite easy to spot driving along the motorway heading in to the city although it can be a little tricky working out how to enter as you do need to use a bus lane.  The interior is fairly modern with seating indoors and out.  We were greeted at the door by a friendly waitress who provided us with our menus and a kids menu for my little nephew.

Our order of steaks included the 400g Rib Eye on the bone and the 450g T-bone.  Its nice to see that each steak has been quality assured and classified by Graziers so you know the quality of the steaks you are ordering.  We also grabbed the Morrison Chicken Parmagiana and Chicken Fingers from the kids menu.
Drinks order first, an array of beers to complement...

Initially, we had no intent of ordering Oysters but after spying the specials of $1 Natural and $1.50 Kilpatrick oysters we just couldnt resist!  Sometimes when fresh seafood is on special the quality may be questionable, but when these little babies came out all those fears faded away.  They were absolutely fresh, creamy and tasted fantastic both ways.

The T-bone...

The Rib eye...
Steaks come with your choice of house or ceasar salad and chips or baked potato.  Both of my fellow diners ordered the creamy ceasar and chunky chips.  As expected the steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly to order.

The Morrison Chicken Parmagiana is a bit of an oddity but tasted delicious nonetheless.  The best way to describe it would be a chicken kiev but with bacon and cheese topped with napoli sauce.  A modern interpretation of an old pub classic, fantastico!

Kid's menu has lots of healthy greens for the little uns'.

And after all that food, we still had room for desserts.....

Brandy snap with Berry compote

Ice cream Sundae

Chocolate and Oange torte
The little one wasnt forgotten with complimentary ice cream and drink ;-)

In conclusion, Morrisons the place to be and a true contender for good quality well-prepared steaks. And Yes, your little tots are catered to as well!

  3. Hi GG, it is actually Diane sauce and Mr food hunter mistakenly thought it was Bernaise as it was truly buttery!
