Marine World Seafood Cafe

Mr food hunter was craving for good seafood on his birthday and a quick check on Urbanspoon saw Marine World on the no. 2 spot. Reviews from others were excellent and we decided to make a day going about the East side of Brisbane.

Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse

The Fam headed to Kingsleys to celebrate the 30th birthday of Mr food hunter's brother. It was a celebratory occasion and the view & ambience of Kingsleys gave it that extra special touch! It wasn't over the top fine dining and was ideal for Mr food hunter's little nephew. He even received a kids colour pack on arrival.

Chumley Warner's

Lunch was a little haphazard yesterday....We had the lunch specials at Thai River which was just next door to Chumley Warner's. While we were eating, we couldn't help but peek continuously (stared shamelessly rather) through the tinted windows at those unwrapped paper packages of battered fish & chips with gravy and mushy peas...That's not to say that our Thai meal was bad. In fact we were delightfully surprised, the Red Curry and Tom Yum (all ~ $8) were some of the better tasting ones around...sorry no pics!

A Salt & Battery

A Salt & Battery is where we head to usually for good fish & chips and it is also a very convenient location for us. It was a busy sunday lunch hour with quite a few tables of bigger groups and therefore, the dishes took quite a while to be churned out.

Mr food hunter had the Single Combo which consisted of crumbed calamari, crab claw, a piece of battered Cod and chips. Perfectly cooked, no complaints, all ingested and washed down with a bottle of citrus pink MASH drink!
