Fundies & Sassafras Reload

We find ourselves constantly around Paddington lately since our last visit to Anouk. Hmmmm...we think its because of all the meat Mr food hunter has had and so the cravings of gourmet salads led us here. So call this post an update of what's on offer if you wish ; )
From Fundies: Forgotten to take a snapshot of their bowl of Chai...its a must on a warm day! Look back here.

Small Salad platter of 1) Israeli Pearl Couscous with Bocconcini & Zucchini, 2) Eggplant, firm cubed tofu, almonds & Spinach leaves in a sweet Tamari dressing (YUM!) and 3) Rice salad with Pepitas & Pinenuts (abit bland).

Massive but healthy Chickpea Burger with Tahini, Hummus dressing and plenty of shredded veg, all sandwiched between yeasty Organic Sourdough toasts.

At Sassafras:

Lunch hour even on a weekday is always busy busy at Sassafras.
There was a snaking queue when we arrived!

Home-made Tomato Relish now provided free for the diners to use...what a nice touch! Never do without a Grinders Capp, always done well!

Chunky Beef & Mushroom Pie with a side of Pumpkin, Fetta & Roasted Capsicum Salad and also, a Greek Salad. The Pumpkin salad is a sell-out here! This is the 2nd time Mr food hunter had the exact same PIE!

Smoked Salmon on Sourdough with Capers, red onion & Dill Mayo with a side of Pumpkin Salad. Again, simple but very fresh & satisfying! Think Miss food hunter prefers the PeriPeri Chicken Turkish...
